Development
The selection, development, training and operational certification process is very demanding and occasionally some dogs do not meet our high standards. In these cases, the dogs are re-homed and enjoy their lives as family pets or sports dogs. However, some dogs excel during the development process and go on to become Military Working Dogs, Prison Dogs or Police dogs. Although all our Security Working Dogs are trained in handler protection and are able to decisively neutralise threats from individuals or multiple people, this is only a small part of the training that sets our Security Working Dog Teams apart from the competition.

On-site training
Another crucial aspect of developing a stable and reliable security dog is early socialisation and environmental exposure. In order to expose them to different sights, sounds, smells and surfaces, our puppy recruits are taken to as many wide and varied locations as possible. These include trips to shopping centres, Bunnings, walks through bus and train interchanges, internal and external buildings, stairways, elevators and heights. Additionally, all our recruit puppies are taken to work sites that they will be employed on once they become part of an Operationally Certified SWD Team.
